Cools in summer, Heats in winter

Every system we install is reverse cycle, which means the same unit that cools your bedroom in July will heat it in January. It is a heat pump, and it produces several units of heat for every unit of electricity it draws.

The practical benefit is control. A loft conversion that the central heating never quite reaches, or a home office you use for three hours a day, can be brought up to temperature in minutes without firing the boiler for the entire house. For a lot of our clients that is where the running-cost saving actually comes from — not from replacing the boiler, but from not having to use it.

How much does air conditioning installation cost in London?

Do I need planning permission for air conditioning?
For most houses the outdoor unit falls under permitted development, provided it sits within size limits, is not on a wall facing a highway, and is at least one metre from the boundary. Flats, listed buildings and conservation areas are different and usually do need consent. We check this at survey stage and tell you before you commit.
How long does installation take?
A single split system is usually a one-day job. A multi-split serving three or four rooms typically takes two to three days. We agree the schedule with you in advance and work to it.
Will the units be noisy?
Modern indoor units are far quieter than most people expect — the Mitsubishi Electric range we install runs from 18dB on low fan speed, which is quieter than a library. Outdoor unit placement matters just as much, and we position it with both your neighbours and your own bedroom windows in mind.
Can air conditioning heat my home as well as cool it?
Yes. Every system we install is reverse cycle, meaning it works as a heat pump in winter as well as an air conditioner in summer. It gives you fast, room-by-room warmth without firing the boiler for the whole house — useful for a home office or a loft room that the central heating struggles to reach.
Can you integrate air conditioning with my existing Control4 or KNX system?
Yes, and this is what we do differently. We are Control4 dealers and KNX partners, so climate control can be brought into the system you already have rather than living in a separate app. Daikin and Mitsubishi Electric both expose their systems for integration, and we handle that work ourselves rather than subcontracting it.
